Atom Egoyan’s 2008 film Adoration has won the Ecumenical Jury Prize shortly after the film received a grand ovation at its premiere at the 61st annual Festival de Cannes on May 22, 2008. The Ecumenical Jury Prize is a special honour bestowed upon films ’of quality which touch the spiritual dimension of our existence’. Featuring an exquisite score by Mychael Danna (violin solos performed by Yi-Jia Susanne Hou, cello solos by Winona Zelenka, and piano solos by Eve Egoyan), Adoration tells a gripping story about a teenager’s obsession with a false identity, and explores the deep psychological complications of a near fatal flight...
Adoration is expected to open in theatres May 8, 2009.

"I was overwhelmed by the sensitivity of her playing...she is an extraordinary artist. The violin plays a huge part in the soundtrack of the film, and her detailed and highly charged performance is full of emotional nuance."
—Atom Egoyan, Director
